Our Child Care Law department approaches each case with a level of understanding only achievable through specialising in Child Care law. Whether involving social services, or a private law matter, it is important to be represented by those who understand how the law may affect you and your family.

W e advise and represent parents, other family members, children and Children’s Guardians in all Public Law proceedings.

These include proceedings where the Local Authority have applied for Emergency Protection Orders, Care Orders or where parents apply for contact with children in care and discharge of Care Orders. We can also advise and assist where children are voluntarily accommodated and will attend Child Protection Conferences. We are there to support parents and provide them with advice and empower them during this difficult time.

We also specialise in acting for children, parents and family members in other disputes i.e. where parents are separated and there are problems in facilitating contact or a dispute as to where the child should reside. Similarly, we are able to provide expert advice to adopted parents and the birth parents who are considering adoption.

With ‘in house’ solicitor advocates, the childcare team are experienced in representing clients in the family courts on a daily basis. This means that your case is dealt with by us from start to finish, ensuring you receive a personal service tailored to your needs.

We are members of the Law Society Children Panel, Family Law Panel and Resolution and acknowledged as one of the top Childcare Law Firms in Wales.

Areas of Work We Offer

In some circumstances if Social Services are involved, you may be entitled to free legal advice and we will advise you at the outset whether this is available to you. In all other circumstances we will discuss with you how we may be able to help by providing fixed fee services or simply dealing with aspects of your case, or otherwise giving you a seamless beginning to end service charged at an hourly rate. We will always aim to keep you informed as to costs and work together to deliver our services within your budget.

Our hourly rates are competitive, and have attracted clients outside the South Wales area. Compare our rates and fixed fee deals with those offered by your local firms.
